Description:
Experienced "Go Getter" is needed for sales of professional services and management of customers' requests for an established business-to-business IT Company.

 

We provide an environment that will reward your sales efforts AND give you the opportunity to grow professionally along with the company and the team. You provide your enthusiasm to help people, experience of selling services, understanding of IT, integrity and loyalty to the company and customers, and self-motivation of getting the jobs done.

 

This is a pro-active business development position that is full time. Assumed work hours are 8am to 5pm, but flexible enough to accomodate the prospects and clients. Most of the time will be spend pursuing prospects via in person meetings, cold calls, and follow ups. You will be provided the office environment, required equipment and tools to function successfully, proper training if needed and access to other team members for help and consulting. We use software and other methods to track and keep up with sales pipeline that you will be using.

 

Time-wise, your effort will be spent on:

  • (60%) Prospecting for new clients via cold calling, meetings, various functions, etc.
  • (20%) Working with prospects and clients on identifying the needs and providing matching solutions
  • (10% ) Formulating the solutions as quotes/proposals, adjusting existing ones per changing needs, negotiating scope of work, schedule, and budget.
  • (5%) Following up with existing clients to re-initiate sales cycle again.
  • Transitioning the obtained projects/work to Implementation departments.
  • Working with peers and your supervisors on adjusting the above process if needed.
  • Other tasks as needed


Requirements:
Top candidates for this position will possess:

 

  • Successful prior sales experience is A MUST (preference given to "service" and "professional service" type sales over "product" and "widget" type sales.)
  • Strong work ethic, being on time, enthusiasm, keeping up with details and jobs 
  • Strong people skills to work with various types of people, to include prospects, clients, team members.
  • Documented cold-calling sales experience
  • High energy and enthusiasm to get things done
  • Self motivation and ability to work on your own without direct and immediate supervision
  • Outside-the-box thinking for sales and product presentation
  • Prior experience working with/calling executive level prospects/clients
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills


Preferences:
Given to applicants with the following:

 

  • IT sales background, education, certification or knowledge obtained in other ways (not necessarily hands on, but theoretical knowledge of "what's possible" and "what not")
  • Ability to analyze and optimize the approach, technique, templates, and other parts of the process to what works best 
  • Ability to professionally present yourself and the company
  • Ability "to consult", provide options and explain the difference and best way to proceed, based on previous research, and other information
  • Ability to "phase" the sale and ability to upsell
  • Ability to present and sell high ticket solutions
